Nominate your unsung hero!
Sevenoaks District Council’s, Making it Happen Community and Voluntary Awards are back in 2017 giving you the chance to nominate your local unsung heroes.
The awards, now in their third year, will take place in June and will see inspirational volunteers and community workers being recognised for their work to help others across the District.
Cllr Roddy Hogarth, Cabinet Member for Community & Economic Development, says: “There are so many hardworking and selfless people and organisations that deserve recognition for their incredible efforts. These people make a positive difference to the lives of young and old and vulnerable and disadvantaged people from across the District.
“We are happy to celebrate their contribution and say a well deserved thank you. So please make sure you get involved and submit a nomination form so your local hero can get the recognition they deserve.”
The ‘Making It Happen’ awards are made up of ten nomination categories.
This year’s categories are:
- Charity Project of the Year
- Charity of the Year
- Best Community Club/Group of the Year
- Young Volunteer of the Year
- Best Business in the Community
